SMC高壓電氣比例閥結構伺服閥的主閥一般來說和換向閥一樣是滑閥結構,只不過閥芯的換向不是靠電磁鐵來推動,而是靠前置級閥輸出的液壓力來推動,這一點和電液換向閥比較相似,只不過電液換向閥的前置級閥是電磁換向閥,而比例閥的前置級閥是動態特性比較好的噴嘴擋板閥或射流管閥。也就是說,比例閥的主閥是靠前置級閥的輸出壓力來控制的,而前置級閥的壓力則來自于伺服閥的入口p,假如p口的壓力不足,前置級閥就不能輸出足夠的壓力來推動主閥芯動作。所以比例閥的閥口做得偏小,即使在閥口全開的情況下,也要有一定的壓力損失,來維持前置級閥的正常工作。
