SMC電氣比例閥就是根據控制信號的大小來調整閥芯的截面面積。從而達到調節壓力大小的工藝目標和要求。電氣比例閥對流量的控制可以分為兩種。一種是開關控制,一種是連續控制,伺服閥和其它閥不同的是,它的能量損失更大一些,因為它需要一定的流量來維持前置級控制油路的工作。一種是開關控制:要么全開、要么全關,流量要么大、要么小,沒有中間狀態,如普通的電磁直通閥、電磁換向閥、電液換向閥。
